Customs as employer
Most of the tasks at the Customs require knowledge and skills which are not offered by the common educational system. Therefore, Customs trains its personnel. Free training is offered mainly in the Customs School situated in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki.
Job opportunities in Customs consists of clearance of ships, passenger and truck traffic, customs crimes prevention and investigation, collection of tax, as well as different kinds of expert and IT-jobs.
Jobs are available in different parts of Finland. The Board of Customs is situated in Helsinki. In addition, Customs has five customs districts: the Southern, Western, Eastern, Northern and The Åland Islands Districts. The district offices are situated in Helsinki, Turku, Lappeenranta, Tornio and Mariehamn.
