Description

These statistics describe the total amount of passenger cars imported in Finland as removal goods.

Data content

These statistics specify quarterly the total amount of the passenger cars imported in Finland and which are classified as removal goods according to the Finnish Car Tax Act (194/482).

Data collecting method

The information on imported passenger cars classified as removal goods is collected by the Customs Districts. This information is combined quarterly at the Data Management Unit of the National Board of Customs and transmitted to the Statistics Unit.

Applied classifications

The collecting of statistics on imported goods classified as removal goods is based on the Combined Nomenclature CN of the EU. The country classification is based on the Commission Regulation (EC, 1833/2006) on the nomenclature of the countries and territories for the external trade of the Community and the internal trade between the Member States. The country codes comply with those of the ISO/DIS 3166 standard of the International Organization for Standardization.
