Safety and security amendment: ICS in Finland
The EU-wide ICS, Import Control System, is the system which is implemented through the AREX service of Finnish Customs, introduced in December 2009. AREX is used for submitting entry summary declarations, for presentation of arriving goods and for submitting summary declarations. In addition, the AREX service is used for submitting security amendment-related declarations for goods that will exit the Community via Finland.
On our eServices sites, you will find information on message exchange between the trader and Finnish Customs. AREX message implementing guidelines (MIGs) and customer instructions are available on their own AREX-site.
