Export documents and declarations accepted at customs offices of exit in Finland as of 15 June 2010

Customer notice 7 June 2010

The National Board of Customs has specified the instructions and demands regarding export documents and declarations accepted at customs offices of exit. As of 15 June 2010, only MRNs (Movement Reference Number) that are in force and that have been generated by the electronic export system will be accepted at customs offices of exit in Finland.

When an export consignment has been declared under a fallback procedure, the customs offices of exit will also accept SAD forms or other export documents accepted in the EU country in question, marked ”ECS Fallback Procedure”. Export consignments can be declared using the fallback procedure if, at the time of declaration, there is a technical interruption of use in the Finnish Customs system or in the customer’s system.
