Customs message declarants, please note the following changes to the message descriptions in the export system ELEX

Customer notice 21 July 2010

The changes between versions 1.4 and 2.0:

  1. In all schemas (FIExportDeclaration, FIExportResponse and FIArrivalAtExit), the default namespace xmlns=schema/elex/v2 has been added, and it has to be used in all messages without abbreviations.
  2. The element CustomsGoodsItem/Origin has been removed from the schema as unnecessary.
  3. The type ExportCustomsOffice has been removed from the schema as unnecessary.
  4. The spelling of Party/Adress has been corrected to Party/Address
  5. The spelling of Warehouse/identitificationExtension has been corrected to Warehouse/identificationExtension
  6. The repetition of GoodsMeasure/measurementUnitQualifierCode has been removed.
  7. The repetition of GoodsShipment/AdditionalDocument and of CustomsGoodsItem/AdditionalDocument has been changed to unlimited
  8. The repetition of AdditionalDocument/Document-elementin has been removed
  9. TransportMeans/identity and TransportMeans/identity have been defined as alternative.
  10. The type of the tag Location/name has been changed to lineType, so the length of the field has been increased to 35 characters.
  11. The tag Message/version has become mandatory.
  12. AdditionalInformation/statement has become mandatory
  13. A new type, "responseAdditionalInformationType" has been created for the element AdditionalInformation in the status message. The name AdditionalInformation/statementDescription has been changed to AdditionalInformation/description, and the length of this field has been increased to 1000 characters.
  14. The 12th character of the transaction identifier can now be a number or a letter.
  15. The tag Message/test has been introduced, and it replaces the ending “TESTI” in the identifier for the message recipient.

Messages according to version 1.4 of the message descriptions can be sent until 30 June 2011 in message traffic via an operator. As for the "Arrival at Exit" message, messages according to version 1.4 can also be sent using direct message exchange 19 June 2010–30 June 2011.

Messages according to version 2.0 of the message descriptions can be sent both via an operator and using direct message exchange as of 4 December 2010.
