The codes for the customs offices of Kaskinen and Pietarsaari can no longer be used in customs declarations
20 June 2013
The customs offices of Kaskinen and Pietarsaari have been closed down as of 16 February 2013. As of 1 July 2013, Customs’ data systems will reject declarations containing entries on Kaskinen, Pietarsaari or any other previously closed customs office.
In AREX declarations, customers should replace the Port of Kaskinen with Pori as the customs office of entry or departure, and the Port of Pietarsaari with Kokkola.
The customs office codes to be used in declarations are available in code list 0129 along with the ports, airports and other locations supervised by the customs offices. All of the code lists required for customs declarations are included in the “Koodit–Koder–Codes” file which is available in Finnish, Swedish and English under the message descriptions section of electronic services on the Customs website.
