Valid customs office codes required for declarations to be accepted
27 June 2013
Customs’ data systems will reject all declarations containing entries on customs offices which have been closed down and removed from the register of customs offices. Customs offices no longer included in the register as of 1 July 2013 are those of Kemi, Kaskinen, Pietarsaari, Raahe, Naantali, Uusikaupunki, Hämeenlinna, Seinäjoki, Rovaniemi, Pello, Kaaresuvanto and Muonio. Customs has previously notified customers of these offices being closed down.
The customs office codes to be used in declarations are available in code list 0129 along with the ports, airports and other locations supervised by the customs offices. All of the code lists required for customs declarations are included in the “Koodit–Koder–Codes” file which is available in Finnish, Swedish and English under the message descriptions section of electronic services on the Customs website.
